This could be leaving an extra tip, opening a door for someone, giving away cards or treats, or helping someone carry heavy bags.

Spend some time this holiday season thinking about which values matter most to you and how they have influenced your actions this year.

We could all use some support this time of year.

Pick a few areas where you could use a helping hand (cooking, meeting a work deadline, cleaning, talking through a personal concern) and ask someone you trust to help you out.

The holidays are a good time to get closer to those in your community.

Do a favor for your neighbor, whether it’s an offer to watch their kids, shovel their driveway, or pick up groceries for them while you are at the store.

With all the family togetherness, shopping, and end of the year craziness, the holidays can be a bit overwhelming.

Simply breathing is a great way to feel better and be present in the moment. Take a few minutes to sit comfortably and focus on your breath.

This is a great time to give back to those in your community who could use a helping hand. Donate your time, food, clothing, or support to a cause you care about.

When others are struggling, we step up and help.

This holiday season lend your time, skills, and compassion by volunteering at your local school, food bank, church, shelter, hospital, or wherever you see a need.

The holidays are a great time to connect with loved ones. Call or video chat with someone you haven’t talked to in the last six months and catch up on each others’ lives.

When you gather together with family and friends, ask everyone to talk about what they are most grateful for this year.

It’s never too early for kids to practice giving back to their communities.

Help your own kids or those of your friends/family with a project to make their community better (crafting cards for seniors, picking up litter, making cookies for a local hospital, visiting an animal shelter, etc.)
