Volunteers have helped us unlock the power of women to advance progress for all.
Over the years, our volunteers have connected directly with women through creative, innovative programming designed to support respectful conversation and build a healthy democracy. Opportunities evolve as our community changes and grows, and we offer volunteer roles that are both relevant to our work and personally fulfilling. Skilled volunteers make up the chorus of voices that welcome and engage women—whether one on one on a deep listening phone call or through thoughtful facilitation in our digital communities. Volunteers are the heart of our community, and each volunteer is important to reaching our goal of building an America that works for everyone. Join our volunteer community to meet new friends, learn new skills, and make a real difference!

Volunteer Spotlight
Jen Mayer has been a committed volunteer for a year, moderating in our digital community and engaging in one on one phone conversations. We are so appreciative of her dedication to meaningful dialogue and desire to make a difference in individuals’ lives. Jen is passionate about food systems, small-scale farming, and being surrounded by trees. She loves singing loudly while doing her chores, and wishes that every day was Taco Tuesday!
Up until the pandemic, Jen had spent the past nine years living in Zimbabwe, working with a local research trust on food justice projects. When reflecting on ending her chapter in Zimbabwe and moving back to the USA, Jen wrote “One thing that really helped buoy me was the thought that the things that endure are the people you love and who love you. The rest is just stuff. You don’t lose that love, it really does bind us all together.” Thank you Jen, and all of our volunteers, for showing up with authenticity, curiosity, and love as we build an America that works for all of us.
